Outdoor Units (ODUs)
The REMEC Broadband Wireless Outdoor Unit (ODU) is the only commercially successful "off-the-shelf" ODU product on the market today. For companies that need a quick ODU solution or that design and manufacture ODUs as part of a radio product solution today, REMEC Broadband Wireless can literally save millions in Product, R&D, and Manufacturing costs.
Our standard ODU products are available immediately in all the major frequency bands from 7 through 40GHz supporting both ETSI and ANSI standards. ODUs can support FSK through 128QAM modulation and 7MHz through 56MHz channel bandwidths in both standard and high power options offering an ideal solution for virtually any ODU requirement.
Over 70,000 ODUs are operating around the globe today, integrated with over 10 customer-specific IDUs and exhibiting extremely high field reliability. At current production rates, every 10 minutes of every day, another REMEC ODU is successfully installed somewhere in the world!
Transceivers
We offer both off-the-shelf and customized transceiver products that leverage the volumes we achieve in the ODU business to offer excellent value to those customers preferring to outsource at the module level. We also offer customized transceiver products for applications such as satellite communications, Fixed Wireless Access, Wi-Max, defense, and security sensors.
Our skilled engineers and technicians work directly with our manufacturing experts to quickly design customized modules to specification with reliability, manufacturability and low cost as fundamental design criteria. Our proven design technology and manufacturing processes are demonstrated by over 200,000 transceiver products in well over 50 different models designed, shipped and operational today.
Manufacturing Services
REMEC Broadband Wireless has an established RF / microwave / millimeterwave manufacturing center of excellence in Laguna, Philippines enabling the outsource manufacturing of customer's complex components, sub-systems, and systems alongside RBW's own world-class products. Combined with RBW’s research and development assets, we are able to provide cost-effective products with the highest levels of quality. Concurrent engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams work together from development or customer transfer through volume production.
We continually evolve microwave process technology, including the selective integration of hybrid substrate and SMT softboard materials, vertically integrated automatic system level testing, microwave device tuning automation, advanced environmental testing, and high precision automated assembly.
REMEC Broadband Wireless's production capability includes RoHS compliant manufacturing equipment for hybrid circuits, printed wiring board assembly, surface-mount (SMT) assembly, specialized solder assembly, RF / microwave / millimeterwave test, inspection, and environmental test.
