Program Manager
Main Purpose of Job
Direct the execution of individual customer programs for the proposal effort
through completion of hardware delivery. This includes design, development,
product transition, and full-scale production phases.
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate program planning with customer to assure the identification
schedule, design criteria, cost, quality requirements, and other customer
needs
- Provide a single point of contact on program activities for both the
customer and REMEC
- Coordinate details of program planning and execution within REMEC with
all affected functions
- Manage and direct the Program Team to ensure all program costs and
profitability objectives are met
- Participate in customer contract negotiations for price, schedule, and
technical performance
- Assist in the preparation of costs, management, and technical proposals
- Review potential changes in scope of contract and advises REMEC
management and customer of cost and schedule impact
- Schedule and conducts internal meetings as required to maintain schedule
targets on technical, cost and delivery requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct customer meetings to include pre-contract
award meetings, program management reviews, all design reviews, and other
customer meetings as required
- Conduct appropriate marketing functions with current in-house customers
to ensure follow-on business for re-orders and the identification of new
business opportunities
- Assist General Manager as required to ensure division goals and
objectives are met
- May also directly manage other employees. Not immediate.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of products in the organization and their potential
application
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering
- Understanding of customer requirements including military
specifications
- Knowledge of contracts and business law; Knowledge of basic cost
accounting principles and finance
- Knowledge of company goals, objectives, operating methods,
policies, and procedures
- Strong presentation and written communication skills; Able to
prepare complex reports and extract data from diversified sources
- Able to work with people to resolve conflicting internal needs of
varying organizations and to balance and change priorities
- Strong commercial and contractual experience
- Must possess a proven high dollar contractual negotiation skills
ability
- Experience in high volume manufacture of RF products a distinct
advantage
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical field or at
least eight years related technical experience.
Job Experience
8 years of related program management/administration experience
in positions increasing responsibility

designs to characterize performance and provide data, revises designs to
achieve product performance and product goals, evaluates and chooses new
devices to be used in existing products.
- It is also responsible for evaluating test equipment and
processing equipment used in production, diagnosing problems, directing
repairs, tuning/testing products, and documenting design and test
procedures.
- Limited travel may be required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Candidates must have thorough knowledge of analog transistor level
design, low noise opamp, and control circuit design and theory.
- PLL, D/A, A/D and microcontroller design skills, and knowledge of
RF/IF blocks used in transmitter and receivers cascade design and analysis,
such as LNA, mixers, drivers up to 6GHz. Must also have knowledge of lumped
element filter design and be proficient in RF test methods and use of test
equipment.
- Requirements include BSEE and a minimum of two years design
experience in RF or a related field.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Engineer who has thorough knowledge of microwave digital radio design and
development.
- This position is responsible for the design, development, and
qualification of new products and manufacturing support of existing
products.
- It analyzes design to characterize performance and provide data
and revises designs to achieve product performance and goals.
- It is also responsible for evaluating test equipment and
processing equipment used in production, for diagnosing problems and
directing repairs, tuning/testing products, and documenting design and test
procedures.
- Limited travel may be required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Qualified candidates must have thorough knowledge of microwave
digital radio design and development, communication theory and practices.
- Must also be familiar with ETSI and FCC regulatory requirements,
be proficient in digital radio test methods and use of test equipment, with
thorough knowledge of communication analysis/synthesis tools such as
AWR-VSS.
- This position requires leadership skills to take the lead on
design projects and coordinate efforts of various support groups.
Education

Main Purpose of Job
Develop and design new products to specification, modify the
performance of existing products to meet new requirements, and to perform design
work in support of manufacturing.
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing revisions to achieve product performance
and goals, evaluating and selecting new devices for use in existing
products, diagnosing problems, directing repair strategies, testing and
tuning products, and documenting design and test procedures.
- Performs circuit analysis and optimization using computer aided
design tools, reviews customer designs, develops cost models, and
participates in the development and implementation of departmental product
and technology strategies.
- Lead a design project by developing plans to meet project
deadlines and coordinating the efforts of various support groups.
- Identify and solve technical problems using complex software and
mathematical techniques.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Candidates must have a thorough working knowledge of VCO design
principals from 2 to 40 GHz, design experience in low phase noise, immunity
to phase hits and microphonics techniques, and design experience in both
fractional and integer phase lock loop principals and practices.
- Must be proficient in RF and Microwave design concepts, theories,
and practices
- Must be proficient in test methods and the use of test equipment
- Must be proficient in the use of analysis/synthesis tools (AWR,
HFSS, CST).
